This course designed for new Saleslogix Web end users who need to get up and running quickly. This course provides the skills necessary to manage Saleslogix Web service/support tasks in an online or offline environment.

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain the difference between contracts, tickets, returns, and defects.
  • Describe how the different contract types are used to calculate the remaining value on a contract.
  • Identify an authorized service contact and a covered asset.
  • Describe the notification options for ticket assignment.
  • Explain what a SpeedSearch index is and how to add items to an index.
  • Track assets during a return.
  • Explain the difference between a defect and a ticket.

Prerequisites

Students who are most successful in this course have a working knowledge of compatible/qualified browser applications: Internet Explorer 9.x, Firefox 10.x, or Google Chrome (not qualified); experience with Microsoft Outlook; and basic computer skills including how to use a mouse, open and close windows, and access items from a menu bar or toolbar.
